Suh-weet!!!

Just got back from rockin the 4th ave Tavern. Any apprehension I initially had was immediately assuaged after meeting our sound tech for the evening Ben. Super nice guy who obviously knows his stuff. When we first got there, the part of the building where the stage is, was a little quiet. I was kinda expectin' to play to a bunch of chairs. So after we set up, we decided it would be a good idea to walk around town in an attempt to get some people people who didn't have some set plans to come in and check out the show. I gotta say, I was really surprised how many people were out an about. I think I dig Olympia. So, when we got back there were a couple of people that had found their way into the venue area. We decided to start the set off with a Joan Jett song "I Love Rock and Roll". From there, man, what a great night. It was our first time doing an enitre night. It was so much fun. We had a great group of people that were really enthusiastic and seemed to genuinely dig the music. I personally love doing all-night bar gigs. You really get to warm up and you get to know your audience, it makes for a much more memorable night for sure. Doing the big venue shows is a lot of fun, but I would say a lot more impersonal. Also, I love my friends, and anyone that would dare call themselves our fan, but it is so much fun playing to a room of people who have no idea who we are, and turning'em on to our music and sound.
So anyway just ridin a high and mighty wave and wanted to share. I do love rock and roll. Nights like this make me glad I didn't listen when they told me I should be the roadie;oP

I cannot wait for our trip back to Olympia on November 20th! I want to spend the entire day there talking to people and promoting the show! The people there welcomed us with warm comments and I am very much looking forward to seeing you all again!
